JOB DESCRIPTION –
My client, a leading logistics company in Port Harcourt, is ready to hire a Relationship Manager to lead client engagement and contract management for high-profile corporate accounts, including multinational organisations in the oil and gas sector. This is a managerial, client-focused role (not a marketing position), the successful candidate will interface with existing clients, manage their portfolios, drive business growth, ensure contract compliance, and coordinate internal operations teams to deliver seamless logistics services. It is a full-time, on-ground role suitable for professionals with experience in client relationship management, business development, and corporate services.
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED
- this is not a marketing job role, it’s a client management role therefore excellent communication skill is a plus
- This is a managerial position and as such, possessing people skills, and problem solving aptitude would count the most.
REQUIREMENTS
The Relationship Manager will be responsible for:
- client interaction: communicating with clients to better understand their challenges and what goals they aim to achieve
- managing the relationship between the company and her contracts (_ with Shell, Total, and other A-list companies)
- ensuring both the company and clients adhere to contract terms
- managing existing clients’ portfolio
- managing the full circle of a new-client development from initial outreach to meeting set-up and strategic growth planning
- developing business with existing clients
- studying the competition to find new ways to retain existing customers
- managing the operation officers in their processes to delivering a client’s job
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communication, Communication, Linguistics, Marketing or a related field
- Must be willing to work on-ground (this is not a work from home job role)
- At least 2 years experience in a client management/new business development role.
